THE GRAND MONASTERY is in Pamporovo, the largest resort in the Rodopi Mountain, situated 220 km from Sofia – the capital of Bulgaria. Regardless of its location – 1650 m above the sea level, the climate is mild even during the winter months, due to the strong Mediterranean influence. The average annual temperature is 8,5 C and the thickness of snow cover is 140–150 m.
THE GRAND MONASTERY is situated in the ski center Studenets, only 50 meters away from the main ski lift station to Snezhanka peak.
The complex is built in a typical old national style and consist of five interconnected with escalators buildings. From its upper building there is a direct exit on the green ski run leading to the main lift station of Studenets centre.
Grand Monastery Apartments are situated in all 5 buildings. Walking between buildings in both directions is by stairs and lifts. Please, bear in mind, that Grand Monastery does not offer facilities for disabled guests.
THE GRAND MONASTERY has a lobby bar, three lanes bowling with a bowling bar, billiards, electronic games corner, children’s play area, fitness, ski rent and free ski lock room.
The Complex boasts a relax center APRES SKI&SWIM offering a variety of, sauna, fittness and a 22m/ 8m swimming pool. The temperature of the water is around 27-29 degrees and is suitable for swimming.
Guests of THE GRAND MONASTERY can dine and wine in the Monastery yard tavern and in restaurant Salute in Monastery 3.
There is a free parking on site. During busy periods another free parking nearby is used – 100m. WI-Fi is free and available in common parts and in the apartments.

The parking lot is in front of the complex. During busy periods, another free auxiliary parking lot on Studenets.
The heating is on electricity, including in the bathrooms. The rooms are always pre-heated for the guests.
All buildings in the complex have elevators. Movement between the buildings in both directions is via stairs and escalators
